About BBMS.

The Brandon Bailey Memorial Scholarship was established in 2012 and first awarded in 2013. Brandon Douglas Bailey, 19, was called home to Heaven on July 5th, 2012, after a fireworks accident. Brandon lived the majority of his life in Newcastle, Texas, and graduated as Salutatorian from Newcastle High School in 2011. He excelled in academics, football, basketball, and track while in high school and had begun a new journey as a student at Tarleton State University. Upon Brandon’s death, friends and family set up a scholarship to honor his memory. Initially, set up as a 4- year scholarship for a Newcastle High School graduate, it was extended to offer scholarships to Throckmorton, Woodson, Graham, and Olney students after the out-pouring of love and support from the surrounding communities. Brandon was an out-going, loving, Christian young-man who dearly loved his Lord and Savior, his family, and his many friends. He touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with, and loved putting a smile on everyone’s face.
